Mission, Vision and Future Goals

 

Mission

My goal is to boldly pursue my passions and create a happy, energetic atmosphere that encourages everyone I come into contact with to reach their greatest potential. I want to make a positive impact in the world, and my long-term goal is to use my own logistics company to solve supply chain problems as best I can. In my company, we will support and encourage one another to achieve greater success, improving our community and beyond. 

Vision

With an unrestrained attitude, I want to embrace my journey and my promising future and work toward building a happy, fulfilling life that is full of opportunities.

 

Smart Goals

Short Term – Drink at least 2 liters of water every day.

Specific: I want to have a water intake of at least 2 liters of water every day.

Measurable: I have a bottle of 600ml. I will keep it with me every time and refill it until I finish 2 liters of water in a day. I will finish the bottle 3 times a day in order to reach my target.

Achievable: This goal is definitely achievable. It will require continuous dedication and efforts.

Realistic: This goal is realistic as it is necessary for a human body to have enough water intake to stay hydrated.

Time Bound: I aim to reach this goal by the end of February month which is 28^th February 2024. I will keep track of my water intake on my phone as well by logging in to see how much water I had during the day. After staying consistent until 28^th February, I will aim to for my goal’s continuity for indefinite time.

Medium Term – Join Bison Transport’s New Grad Program

Specific – Bison Transport has a program called New Grad. It’s an 18-month work term for new graduates and I want to join that program in Bison.

Measurable – This goal can be measured by monitoring how I complete various requirements and steps of the whole process of getting hired through this.

Achievable – This goal is achievable only when I complete all different requirements of this program successfully. For example, the main requirement is to be a new graduate. This means that I have to successfully complete my diploma if I want to get into the New Grad program.

Realistic – This goal is fairly realistic and meaningful. By going into Bison, I will learn how a transportation company operates. My ultimate goal is to have my own trucking company, and this goal is going to lead me towards my ultimate goal.

Time Bound – This goal requires a timeline rather than a deadline. The timeline consists of me successfully completing my diploma, which should be done by August 2024. A person has 6 months after completing their diploma to apply for this program. Which means that I have a deadline of roughly until February 2025. 

Long Term – Start my own trucking company.

Specific – I want to have my own trucking company of 10 trucks fleet in the future.

Measurable – The first step of going towards this goal is starting by having a job in a trucking company. Once I have that, I will start making a list of other things that I want to have. For example, dispatch knowledge, customs experience, operations experience, basic knowledge of trucks.

Achievable – This goal is quite difficult to achieve because of the complex requirements that it has. There needs to be enough funding available for all the investments, proper knowledge of how a trucking company operates successfully, a team of reliable truck drivers, trailers, and semi – trucks, and a dispatch team. There could be many aspects which I don’t even know about yet. Again, it is very difficult to achieve but it is not impossible.

Realistic – This goal is realistic because I am a Logistics student. My dad is in trucking and has his trucks in current well established trucking companies. This motivates me to get together with my dad and start my own company in the future.

Time bound – This is a long-term goal. This means that it will have various deadlines throughout the whole process. Firstly, I want to have 2-3 years of experience working at a company. I would prefer this company to be Bison transport. I want to have enough experience and knowledge before I have my own. This should be completed in the years 2024 to 2027.  Ultimately, I plan to have my own trucking company in year 2028.
